Specialist Certificate in Clinical Research (Informatics & Applied Analysis)
Course Introduction
The Specialist Certificate in Clinical Research (Informatics and Analysis) is a stand alone award offered in partnership with Bio21 Australia.
Bo21 Australia has worked with Melbourne University and VPAC for the purpose of developing this course which aims to enhance clinical researchers’ knowledge of Bioinformatics. This award also provides credit into the Graduate Diploma and Masters programs in Clinical Research.
Entry Requirements
An undergraduate degree or equivalent qualification in medicine, an allied health profession, nursing, science or social science which is recognised by the University as evidence of adequate preparation for the course plus documented evidence of at least one year full-time relevant professional work experience or doctoral study in a medical, scientific or allied health environment.
Course Fee
Fees for 2008 are $2,100 per 12.5 point subject, making the total cost of each Specialist Certificate $4,200.
The course fee includes:
- All course materials and assessment
- Access to on-line databases required
- Morning and afternoon tea and lunch on each day of teaching
Course Structure
To satisfy the requirements of the Specialist Certificate in Clinical Research (Informatics and Analysis) students will complete subjects accumulating a total of 25 points.

Entry Requirements

Articulation with Higher Awards
On successful completion of the Specialist Certificate in Clinical Research (Informatics and Analysis) students will be eligible for 25 points credit towards the planned Graduate Diploma and Masters programs in Clinical Research.
