RUSH (Real Understanding of Self Help) Program

Participants are introduced to the RUSH program in a 3 day training course delivered by the University of Melbourne and Myndscape Consulting Pty Ltd.

What is RUSH?

RUSH is a recent Australian treatment program that has successfully applied adapted versions of DBT skills modules to specifically target vulnerable male and female offenders exhibiting borderline personality characteristics and maladaptive behaviours. However, the skills taught in RUSH are not offender specific and can also be designed to meet the client needs of a particular organisation.
RUSH utilizes cognitive, behavioural and acceptance-based interventions to assist in reducing distress, increase motivation and assist vulnerable populations to develop new life skills that can help them potentially lead better lives and reduce the incidence of suicide and self-harm.
Training Objectives:

The training provides participants with the background, skills and techniques necessary to successfully deliver the RUSH interventions within their workplace to meet the needs of their specific client group.

Who Should Attend:

The training is open to psychologists and mental health professionals interested in delivering the RUSH program in their workplace. Those who deliver the program must have adequate skills in psychological theory and practice and group process, have a basic understanding of DBT interventions, and be ideally based in an environment that embraces therapy.

Fees & Venue:

Training fees and venue will vary according to the needs of the client. Training can be run over three consecutive days or staggered to meet your needs.
